The 16th Century Farm – A Garden Reimagined
We were commissioned to reimagine a long-neglected garden nestled beside a charming 16th-century cottage and working farm in Hampshire. Years of disrepair had caused soil to accumulate, concealing the cottage’s original foundations and severing its connection to the surrounding landscape.
Our redesign sought to restore this lost connection—blending the cottage seamlessly into its natural setting while creating a versatile, elegant outdoor space for both relaxation and entertaining.
A Garden Designed for Living
The transformed garden now features a series of carefully curated spaces for dining, unwinding, and embracing the tranquillity of summer evenings. From intimate corners for quiet reflection to expansive areas ideal for hosting around a campfire, the layout was tailored to suit the client’s lifestyle while honouring the historic character of the property.
This project has breathed new life into a once-forgotten garden—harmonising heritage, beauty, and functionality with timeless sophistication.
