We were approached to reimagine a dated 1960s swimming pool nestled within a picturesque Tuscan garden. By preserving the original pool footprint, the redesign seamlessly merges classic form with contemporary luxury and elegance—creating a serene space dedicated to relaxation and wellness.

Elevating Outdoor Living

The revamped pool area now features a generous terrace, ideal for lounging and enjoying long summer days. Adjacent to this is a large, vine-draped pergola that offers a shaded retreat, complete with a fully equipped bar and outdoor kitchen—perfect for alfresco entertaining.

To introduce an additional touch of indulgence, a wood-fired sauna was discreetly tucked behind the pergola, delivering a spa-like experience within the privacy of the garden.

Refined, Low-Maintenance Planting

The planting scheme was designed to be both visually striking and easy to maintain, with an emphasis on seasonal interest. Sculptural yuccas, fragrant orange trees, and swathes of graceful ornamental grasses create a structured yet relaxed aesthetic that complements the natural beauty of the Tuscan setting.

The result is a garden of understated elegance—an inviting and tranquil sanctuary that harmonises effortlessly with the surrounding landscape.
